God Speaks
When I was a seminary student I ran into a stream of thought that was expressed with an adamant declaration that the era of the prophets and biblical prophecy came to an end with the incarnation - God with us in the fullness of Jesus Christ. The argument seemed to follow a reasoning that God, having sent Jesus as his revelator, no longer has nothing more that needs to be said. We have the Gospel. We have Jesus. We no longer need prophets.
