New York, New York
The week has been spent packing, planning, and finally driving from Nova Scotia Canada to New York City in a van with three other adults and six young adults (some would call them teens). We've come to New York to share the love of Jesus, and to be stretched in the process.
Christian Community
God is relational. Three persons. One Godhead. Perfect unity.
Let us Love
When Jesus returns to call his children home, we will know him. By His scars. By His Spirit. By His glory, he will be known to those who have have known him here on earth. But just as the world knows that we are Christians by our love, so too, will Jesus be recognized by his love.
Community outside of church
In a world which celebrates individuality, one of the great characteristics of the Christian faith is that it acknowledges and affirms the very human need for community. If we take a look at the Scriptures, we find that God’s story is not told so much through theological exegesis (which, by the way, is valid and useful) as it is through the telling of stories. And the stories are inevitably set in a communal context.
